Nourishing Our Neighbors

Children can’t reach their full potential without access to nutritious food. Help us feed their spirit, mind and body.

We are honored to partner with local businesses and nonprofits to help fight hunger among children and families in our five-county area.

Did You Know?

  • In 2018, we distributed nearly 14,000 meals to families across the First Coast through mobile food pantries.
  • 1 in 6 adults and 1 in 4 children in Northeast Florida don’t know where their next meal will come from.
  • 120,000 children in Duval County on free or reduced school lunch may suffer go hungry when school’s out for summer.

Our Vision

At the First Coast Y, it is our vision to provide six mobile food pantries annually that deliver fresh and shelf-stable food to neighborhoods that do not have adequate grocery stores, feeding agencies or other resources within an accessible distance.

Program Needs

  • $15,000 annually
  • $2,500 for one mobile pantry

Food and monetary donations collected will be used to host Feeding Northeast Florida mobile food pantries at locations across the First Coast. Neighborhood Ys will also accept non-perishable food items during collection periods prior to a mobile food pantry event.
