First Coast YMCA Brings The Region’s Biggest Group Exercise Mash-Up To Daily’s Place

Free event offers on-site childcare and Jaguars Kids Experience

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Oct. 4, 2017 – The YMCA of Florida’s First Coast, along with Les Mills, The Jaguars Foundation and Bold Events, presents the largest citywide group exercise event—Fitness Fusion—on Saturday, Oct. 21 from 1-4 p.m. Taking place at Daily’s Place, the free event marks the first public event at the Jaguars new state-of-the-art indoor practice facility since its opening this summer. To encourage the entire community to take part in this one-of-a-kind exercise opportunity, the First Coast YMCA will also provide free childcare and Jaguars game day youth activities.

The three-hour program offers a wide variety of group exercise classes that feature many aspects of fitness such as martial arts, yoga, dance, cardio and strength training. Whether a first-timer or group fitness fanatic, anyone in the community is welcome to participate in a mash-up of workout favorites, which will be led by First Coast YMCA certified instructors.

“At the Y, we have the best group exercise instructors in the country who are dedicated to helping people achieve their health and wellness goals. Their classes are challenging, motivating and just plain fun. By inviting the entire community for free to the biggest group exercise event the city has ever seen for, we can inspire more people to fall in love with fitness,” said YMCA of Florida’s First Coast President and CEO Eric Mann. “Thanks to the Jaguars’ enthusiasm to open up Daily’s Place for this public event, we can together welcome individuals and families across the First Coast to enjoy this first-of-its-kind workout experience.”

Free childcare will be available on site for kids ages six weeks or older. They will be supervised by the First Coast YMCA’s certified, professional KidZone staff. Kids ages 5-12 may participate in Jaguars game day youth activities, including bounce houses, in the brand-new indoor practice facility.

Although the event is free of charge, the First Coast YMCA will accept donations to help families affected by Hurricane Irma.
