About the YMCA Academic Program
In partnership with Kids Hope Alliance, the YMCA Academic Program offers a free, comprehensive, school-based afterschool program for students in grades K-5 at Duval County Public School locations. The program is facilitated by certified teachers and youth development leaders from the First Coast YMCA. Students who participate in the program typically show improved attendance, higher promotion rates, and better grades compared to those who do not participate.
The YMCA Academics Program also offers a summer program. The summer program provides a FREE, safe and enriching environment for your students. In addition to 3 hours of literacy-focused academic support, students will engage in swim lessons, social and emotional learning, cultural arts enrichment, fitness activity, and educational field trips! Students will be served breakfast and lunch daily.
Registration is on a first come first served basis and open to K-5 grade.
