Because poor air quality can affect breathing and overall wellness—especially for children and individuals with respiratory conditions—we are taking a cautious, people-first approach across all First Coast YMCA branches and program sites.

- Winston Family YMCA outdoor classes cancelled due to pool air quality.

- McArthur Family YMCA: The outdoor pool is closed until further notice due to poor air quality.
- McArthur Family YMCA & YMCA at Wildlight: All outdoor programming is paused, including youth sports.
- Afterschool programs at both locations have been moved indoors so kids can continue to participate safely.
We are reviewing conditions daily using local air quality data and public health guidance and will adjust operations as needed.
