Like you, Personal Trainers come in a variety of shapes and sizes with different backgrounds and experience.

At the Y, Personal Trainers have at least one thing in common—they have and maintain certification through at least one national health and fitness organization. In addition to national certifications, many trainers have special areas of expertise—like Barre, Kettlebells and TRX—that require additional (and often intensive) training.

What does this mean for you? That means that regardless of your healthy living goals or level of fitness expertise, you are in great hands. Our trainers will sit down and discuss what you hope to achieve through personal training at the YMCA, devise an overall healthy living plan and help you construct the best methods for success!

Meet the Trainers


I’ve been lifting weights for about 10 years. Honestly, the reason I started going to the gym was just to be bigger and stronger than my older brother. But, over the years, I have grown to love exercising and learning the importance of exercising.

Throughout my fitness journey, I have made many mistakes that slowed down my progress. That is why I educate myself on different aspects of fitness whether it is different training modalities, proper form and technique, mobility, or functional movement. So, I keep on progressing.

When working out with me, I will keep you from making the same mistakes I made so you can reach your goals. Whether it is for weight loss, building muscle or getting stronger, I’ll help you achieve it. I believe in progression over perfection. As long as you are getting better every day, you are succeeding.

I have always had an interest in health and wellness. I earned my BS in Kinesiology and studied the science behind body movement. I became a personal trainer because I am passionate about helping others improve their health and increase their body’s strength through fun and creative physical activities. Workouts don’t have to be long and boring!

I have experience with teaching HIIT workouts as well as strength training to help improve overall fitness and increase heart strength with functional, short, and sweet workouts. I keep an open mind when creating my classes and personal training programs because everyone’s ability and goals can be different. Let’s get stronger together!

My training philosophy is that health and fitness can be improved at any age. And as fitness improves and evolves with clients, I progress the exercise choices to reflect those new abilities. This ensures that workouts don’t become too easy and participants stay motivated to keep reaching goals.

As a former Division I athlete, I always enjoy working with teens on sports-specific training, but I also have a passion for helping seniors with balance, fall prevention, and bone density-enhancing work.

So, whether you’re bouncing back from maternity leave, training for a scholarship, or working to maintain your activities of daily living, there’s always a path for improvement, so long as it’s crafted with expertise and mindfulness by your trainer.

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed the rewards of helping those who don’t love to exercise, that have recognized they need to. Helping clients who have a significant amount of weight to lose is my passion. As a corrective exercise specialist, I enjoy working with clients recovering from injury, correcting muscle imbalances, and restoring functional movement, flexibility, and mobility, in active adults to athletes. As your personal trainer, allow me to move you through your journey to good health and wellness.
With over 20 years of personal training and group exercise experience, I still love working out as much as the first day I stepped into the gym, if not more! Exercise is more than my job, it’s my passion. I love to create fresh and fun workouts for clients of all ages and ability levels to help them reach their personal goals, and improve their quality of life, one personal training session at a time.

As a wellness coach and Personal Trainer I think training with the goal of longevity is most important. Building a resilient body is a combination of strength training, muscle building, and weight loss exercise. While multiple paths can be taken to reach each goal, it’s important to discover which methods are most safe and effective for each individual. A training program that aligns best with a client’s wants and needs is going to be most effective in leading to a long lasting, lifestyle change.
As a Personal Trainer I aim to express my passion for fitness, health, and self- discipline. I aim to teach, coach, and educate my clients to reach their fitness goals and peak optimal health.

I want to help build your confidence and push your limits. As a Personal Trainer, I’m passionate about helping people function better and live their best lives.
After training people for the last 6 years, I’ve realized how important fitness is to reach the next level in your life. Exercising will promote good health and a driven mindset.
