LES MILLS BARRE®

LES MILLS BARRE® is a modern version of classic ballet training; a 30-minute workout designed to shape and tone postural muscles, build core strength, and allow you to escape the everyday. Incorporating classic ballet positions, with modern music, LES MILLS BARRE® is a combination of cardio and strength with high reps of small range-of-motion movements and very light weights.

Tips and Preparation

For the best possible experience, new LES MILLS BARRE® class participants are encouraged to arrive to class early to meet the instructor and have time to gather and set up equipment.

  • The Y will provide all equipment needed for this class. Please bring your own workout mat. We suggest arriving early to set up your mat and equipment.
  • Come to class dressed and ready to move your body. Wear functional, flexible workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.
  • This class is typically performed in bare or sock feet.
  • Please bring water and a sweat towel.
