SilverSneakers® Circuit

Combine fun with fitness to increase your cardiovascular and muscular endurance and overall power with a standing circuit workout. Upper-body strength work with hand-held weights, elastic tubing with handles, and a SilverSneakers® ball is alternated with non-impact aerobic choreography. A chair is offered for support, stretching, and relaxation exercises.

Tips and Preparation

For the best possible experience, new SilverSneakers® Circuit class participants are encouraged to arrive to class early to meet the instructor and have time to gather and set up equipment. No experience is necessary!

  • The Y provides any needed equipment for this class.
  • Come to class dressed ready to move your body. Wear comfortable, functional workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.
  • Wear proper athletic shoes with a comfortable fit. Open-toed and/or open-backed shoes, slides, and Crocs will not be permitted. Cross-training shoes designed for lateral movement are highly recommended.
  • Start with light weights and resistance, focusing on proper technique and breath. Utilize options as needed!
  • Please bring water and a sweat towel.
