LES MILLS GRIT™

LES MILLS GRIT™ is a 30 minute high-intensity interval (HIIT) training class, designed to put your metabolism into overdrive and get you fit – FAST. Burn calories for hours after the workout, increase aerobic fitness, unleash fast-twitch muscle fibers, and grow lean muscle tissue while burning fat. Each class will be one of the three LES MILLS GRIT formats: Athletic, Strength, or Cardio. You’ll be addicted to the results!

LES MILLS GRIT™ Athletic is designed to make you perform like an athlete. This workout often uses a step, bodyweight exercises and multi-dimensional sports conditioning training to increase your overall athletic performance: strength, agility, speed and power.

LES MILLS GRIT™ Strength is designed to improve strength, cardiovascular fitness and build lean muscle. This workout uses barbell, weight plate and bodyweight exercises to blast all major muscle groups.

LES MILLS GRIT™ Cardio improves cardiovascular fitness, increases speed, and maximizes calorie burn. This workout uses a variety of body weight exercises and provides the challenge and intensity you need to get results fast.

Tips and Preparation

For the best possible experience, new LES MILLS GRIT™ class participants are encouraged to arrive to class early to meet the instructor and have time to gather and set up equipment. No experience is necessary!

  • The Y provides any needed equipment for these classes. Please bring your own workout mat. We suggest arriving early to set up your equipment.
  • Come to class dressed and ready to move your body.
  • Wear loose-fitting, functional workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.
  • Wear proper athletic shoes with a comfortable fit. Open-toed and/or open-backed shoes, slides, and Crocs will not be permitted. Cross-training shoes designed for lateral movement are highly recommended.
  • Please bring water and a sweat towel.
