Join us for this exciting variation of dance! Line dances accompany many popular music styles, including pop, swing, rock and roll, disco, as well as Latin, rhythm and blues, and jazz. Learn easy-to-follow routines that provide great physical and mental exercise…and lots of fun!
Across our First Coast YMCAs, you will find a variety of Line Dancing classes that meet the needs of participants of all levels, from Beginner to Intermediate to Urban Soul Line Dancing!

Tips and Preparation
For the best possible experience, new class participants are encouraged to arrive to class early to meet the instructor. No experience is necessary!
- Come to class dressed ready to move your body. Wear loose-fitting, functional workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow. Clothing that allows for freedom of movement is recommended.
- Wear proper athletic shoes with a comfortable fit. Open-toed and/or open-backed shoes, slides, and Crocs will not be permitted. Cross-training shoes designed for lateral movement are highly recommended.
- Please bring water and a sweat towel.
