Freestyle Cycle Classes

The Y’s indoor-cycling classes provide a fun and challenging cardiovascular workout for all fitness levels! Set to heart pumping music, you will run, jump, climb, and sprint your way to increased speed, strength, and calorie burn!

Offered in Express (30-minute), 45-minute (Cycle 45), and full hour-long (Cycle) durations, you can find the right class for you at the Y! Our Senior Cycle class offers a cycle experience designed specifically for our active older adult members and beginners to cycling.

Tips and Preparation

For the best possible experience, new cycle class participants are encouraged to take some time prior to class to work with their instructor on proper bike setup. No bike riding experience is necessary!

  • The Y provides any needed equipment for this class.
  • Come to class dressed and ready to move your body.
  • Wear loose-fitting, functional workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.
  • Wear proper athletic shoes with a comfortable fit (cycle shoes with SPD clips are optional). Open-toed and/or open-backed shoes, slides, and Crocs will not be permitted.
  • Please bring water and a sweat towel.
