Yoga Classes

Yoga is the mind and body mat-based workout practice that will strengthen and lengthen your muscles, help improve posture, enhance stability, increase core muscle strength, and improve flexibility.

At our First Coast YMCA locations, you will find a variety of Yoga classes that are designed to meet your needs! We offer everything from Power Yoga to Chair Yoga, as well as Yin or Restorative Yoga.

Yoga classes have numerous benefits for all levels!

Tips and Preparation

For the best possible experience, new Yoga class participants are encouraged to arrive to class early to meet the instructor and to set up any equipment that might be needed, depending on the Yoga class that you will be attending.

  • Please bring your own workout mat. We suggest arriving early to set up your mat.
  • Come to class dressed and ready to move your body. Wear functional, flexible workout clothing made of breathable material to allow air flow.
  • These classes are typically performed in bare or sock feet.
  • Please bring water and a sweat towel. Participants may prefer to bring a warmer article of clothing for the final relaxation portion of class.
